It‘s no longer God, but influencers and bloggers who we follow. Is this how new icons are created?
The recurring representation of oneself has become the highest good. The selfie transformed to the new icon. "Holy Phone“ analyzes parallels between contrasting worlds, the profane and sacred versus the digital and real world.

For my graduation collection „Holy Phone“, I created AR Instagram filters. Those filters give you an augmented version of the embroideries which are meticulously handsawn on the jeanscoat from the collection. The motives I used reflect the current narcissistic obsession with the image of oneself through the phone.
